What a difference textiles make!

I received an email from Calico Corners last week and their photos caught my attention, so I decided to give their site a look-see. They have some nice inspiration, online idea notebooks, design advice, and fabrics for sale. Here are some of my favs.

This Victorian chair frame with contemporary fabric I find especially striking.

The curtains are gorgeous

I like this Art Nouveau style fabric -"Flowerfield" from their modern line.

Another modern - "Cassandra"

"Blossom"

That black and white striped chair is to die for!

A STUNNING Victorian Restoration

Tattersall Love says "A striking Victorian renovation which retains period features, but offers an all-white backdrop to bold colour and pattern accents, successfully juxtaposing quirky vintage finds with more contemporary designs. The bathroom features a marble tiled wall and very modern fittings alongside its ethnic furniture pieces and the kitchen opens onto a wrought iron balcony which leads in turn down to the ivy strewn courtyard garden."

Check it out below -

My bedroom is a similar blue and I love it!

New Gorgeousness at Designers Guild!

I think I can let these images speak for themselves, but the fabric and wallpaper patterns from Designers Guild I find especially inspiring this season. I love how nature-inspired the motifs are, and how the symmetry and scale have such an amazing flow. I will definitely be turning to these patterns in the future for some of my design work. As always, I also love the really bold, but fun use of color. These sets are so glamorous!

I love the light in this room
