I have to admit, I don't exactly think of charming little farms when I think of New Jersey, but undoubtedly there is more to the state than what one sees driving down the turnpike. This little farmhouse is proof that New Jersey must have pockets of beautiful land and towns. The home belongs to designer Terri Cannon-Nelson. Terri has utilized some high end resources (they splurged on cabinetry), paired with some more budget-friendly choices (west elm, target, and ikea).
Love this mix - a country table, a Noguchi lantern, and an over-dyed rug from the 40s!
I like the cabinet - but to me the windows are crying out for some window treatments other that those blinds...
A gorgeous built-in houses her china collection.
I have a serious thing for large floor mirrors...
What do you think of this New Jersey abode?

White and wonderful: Sweet Scandinavian homes
Can our Nordic friends do any wrong in the home decorating department? I've always been drawn to the laid-back style and "well-loved" aesthetic of their homes.
Love this sparse simple bedroom. I'm really finding that the simpler my bedroom is, the more calming it is.
Looks like arranging your book by spine color is still a popular thing. What do you guys think? Do you think the trend will last?
Looks like they do color pretty well too!
Such a sweet nook and a good use of an otherwise odd space.
Another good use of space - a sewing nook under the stairs.

Lovely coastal and country French furnishings
While in Colmar, a city in the Alsace region of France, I saw this store, Maisons du Monde, from the street and they had a stack of magazines outside the shop. So I picked one up for some train reading material. They have some nice styling, and the furniture seems decent, so I thought I'd share. Can anyone attest to the quality?

- never seen a couch with such high arms!

They seem to carry furnishings in all different styles.
really like the chair.
This would be a great piece for a fine artist!

What do you think? Kinda has a Pottery Barn look to it.

What do you think of this Scandinavian beauty with a rustic twist
Happy Friday! I think this space out of House Beautiful is a refreshing change of pace in that it keeps with a lot of the Scandinavian characteristics we all know and love, but diverges from everything being based in white and takes on a warmer, more country feel. What do you think?
Love maps as art.

I always like to see another artist's inspiration board/work space.

Glamorous: French decor and bohemian style home decor
I'd never heard of FCL until I saw their ad in this month's Elle Decor. I liked what I saw and checked out their website, where I saw even more things I liked! THey categorize the merchandise into four catagories - "Bohemian," "Classique,"Crème Fraîche," "Country Chic," and "Naturelle." Which look is the closest to yours?
A. Bohemian

B. Classique

C. Crème Fraîche

D. Country Chic

E. Naturelle

Some more random shots from the site:

My style is definitely bohemian, or atleast, I'd like my space to look that worldy, with a mix of old and new. How about you?

Classic country or Modern country? Which are you?
I like country style - but country style can encompass sooooo many looks. I thought I'd see which way you guys leaned - "traditional" country, or "modern" country.
Lets start with classic country:
Love this organized but full-of-charm home office.
Gorgeous - and the chicken wire screens are great too.

...or do you like a more contemporary country?
This bedroom is so stunning - and the monochromatic palette keeps the damask from being too busy for a bedroom

Amy Butler's workspace!
Which do you prefer?
