I would never pick that wallpaper, and I do not like zebra rugs, but all of these elements together are so pretty.

Calming, beautiful color

I think lavender is a surprising calming, relaxing color that doesn't get a lot of attention.  So here's a little spotlight on lavender -  I hope you find it inspiring!

A lovely rug or throw blanket can do the trick if you are the person who loves to change up colors often. This shade of lavender is so pretty

Using lavender in a modern application can help the space from feeling two feminine.  This shower curtain might be purple, but it has a modern indie vibe to it that won't scare off the men folk.

This bedroom is so pretty and comfortable looking.  And it was designed for a (very lucky) teenage girl!

The lavender used in this entry way and stairs is soft and unobtrusive, but you still notice it.

Bring on the Spring - pretty up your rooms with spring hues

I am so excited for spring flowers and bright colors that are going to fill our outdoor space so I thought I'd do a post about bringing that color in and enjoying indoors as well!  Just last night sweetums brought me the most beautiful pale pink roses.  Having them on my desk makes the room feel so much lighter...

Using hints of color in a room make me happy. Especially when those items are so easy to change out like pillows, curtains, and decor you have around the house like books and frames.  I've been loving gold and pink lately.

If you are loving the room you have now and don't feel like changing it but you want to tie in some of your favorite flowers, getting one simple throw pillow that pulls out similar colors can do the trick!

If you want to go bolder, find some wallpaper or upholstery with a floral print/pattern. Anthropologie usually has some unique upholstered items. If you struggle getting real flowers into your home, adding a flower pattern might give you what you need for that spring feeling indoors. I'd love to have one of these in my office!

Love the setup!

Most often we forget about livening up our bedrooms since all we tend to is sleep in here, but bringing some fresh flowers in and updating your bedding can really bring you into the season.

Feminine, glamorous interiors

Loving this pink and gold.  I don't know how much of this my sweetums would tolerate.

If only my dining room was ever this clean and serene.  It's being used as an office until Chris is finished with his masters, and promises that once he's done the table will always be clear.  Time will tell...

Ultra luxe, super glamorous spaces

These rooms are truly some of the most luxe, glamorous spaces I've seen.  If you are a girly-girl, love the feeling of satin and velvet on your skin, and don't shy away from drama - these will definitely speak to you!

Amazing mirror, fab wallpaper.  A mix of textures keeps monochrome interiors from feeling flat.

White, black, and shiny surfaces (check out the ceiling!) is instant drama

...even the rug has sparkles...

While I appreciate the beauty of this dining room, I couldn't live life without pets and children :)

Love the floor!

Could you live in these spaces?  What ideas could you take from them and incorporate in your living space?

Take your pick: Living rooms for every taste and style

Along with your bedroom and the kitchen, I think the living room is one place in the house that should be a reflection of you - and be comfortable and beautiful. Hopefully one of the images below will provide some inspiration:

A Copenhagen factory turned into a work and live space

If I hear or see "Copenhagen," I know I'll probably like what I'm going to see. And that's just the case with the studio of Jill and Caroline. They have created an industrial space balanced to be a bit feminine and whimsical by keeping walls white and furnishings sparse and small. What do you think?

Beautiful, delightfully feminine dresses

You will love these I'm sure. They're from the super talented Sarah Seven. I love "goddess" dresses and fashion that nods to the past - which so much of these blouses and skirts do.

I could get married in this dress. Gorgeous
