Do Not Miss: The phenomenal interior photography of Richard Powers

Okay, these images really speak for themselves. I am super busy today, so of course, I started it off by cyber-slacking looking at design blogs. I stumbled upon Richard Powers's portfolio and just had to share it with you asap. So, if you're slacking too, you won't regret it after seeing these pics...

*hint: click on each image for a larger view - it makes a big difference and you won't regret it!

Gorgeous

The two above are from the Royal Mansour Hotel in Marrakesh.

This is a hotel - awesome bathroom!

Love the window seats - if that's what you would call those...

The two images above were shot in Istanbul

Are these not divinity?

The Glamorous Suites of NYC's Crosby Street Hotel

It must be amazing to be able to stay in a hotel like this. My budget these days restricts me to hostels, but a girl can dream!

The Amazing Cave Village in Matera, Italy

The Sassi is a town of stone homes caves and a group of renowned cave houses set against the Gravina Valley. It is "the most outstanding, intact example of a troglodyte settlement in the Mediterranean region, perfectly adapted to its terrain and ecosystem. The first inhabited zone dates from the Palaeolithic, while later settlements illustrate a number of significant stages in human history." -Unesco.org

The albergo diffuso project is 18 hotel rooms spread over several buildings where extreme care has been taken to keep the structures in tact. You can see by the before and after pictures that all they've seen to have changed was adding some furniture and picking up chunks of rocks. It's quite a cool story that you can read at the hotel's website - http://www.sassidimatera.com/

Here are the rooms restored:
